Ana Rita Alves

Ana Rita Alves holds a graduation in Anthropology and has recently concluded her Master on Migrations, Inter-ethnicities and Transnationalism (2013) with the dissertation “Understanding residential segregation: The Special Re-housing Program and (Anti)racism”. She is a researcher on the Project “Atlantic crossings: materiality, contemporary movements and policies of belonging”.

Her current research interests are centre on issues related with epistemology, production of history and memory, eurocentrism and (anti-)racism, migrations and material culture.
